Watts’ Summer Road Report: Big Adventures, Reliable Power
Hello again, forest friends! Watts here, reporting from somewhere off the beaten path. I would tell you exactly where I am, but maintaining a little mystery is part of the Bigfoot brand.
I’ve spent the summer putting some serious miles—and even more marshmallows—behind me. From quiet mornings deep in the woods to evenings relaxing beside the RV, the Onan QG 7000i DF has helped make life on the road feel a lot more comfortable.
More adventure, less fuss
When I head into the woods, I want to focus on the important things: exploring new trails, enjoying the scenery and avoiding blurry photographs taken from suspiciously far away.
This summer has taken me through a few places where the temperatures climbed almost as high as my snack supply. Even on the hottest days, the QG 7000i DF kept delivering the power we needed. Its larger engine displacement compared with similar generators gives it the capability to handle demanding loads and maintain strong performance in higher temperatures.
The QG 7000i DF also helps keep the adventure going with quieter operation, so I can enjoy the sounds of nature, while its lighter design leaves more room for camping gear, supplies and a few extra snacks. Okay, a lot of extra snacks.
And because it can operate on gasoline or propane, I have more flexibility when deciding where the road—or trail—takes me next.
My biggest lesson from the road
After a summer of traveling, I’ve learned that reliable RV power is not really about the generator itself. It is about what that power allows you to do.
It means enjoying a cool RV after a long, hot day outside. It means making breakfast before the rest of the campground wakes up. It means spending more time in the places you love without giving up the comforts that make the trip feel like home.
That is what RV adventure should be: fewer worries and more time making memories.
The family is growing
Speaking of family, I hear the Onan QG 7000i DF will soon have some new relatives joining the adventure.
The Onan QG 4000i DF and Onan QG 2800i DF are expected to join the new family of Cummins dual-fuel inverter RV generators this fall. That means even more RVers will be able to find a generator designed for the way they travel.
As a fellow family man, I am looking forward to welcoming them. I just hope they do not expect me to share my marshmallows.
